This digital age sprang decades back with the invention of the internet and technology. With time, it has brought a revolutionary change in every aspect of our daily lives in every possible way. Starting our day with news updates, paying our bills online, and shopping online, everything is digitalized, and it is just a click away!

With work from home being a new culture in lockdown, the internet has become essential in every household. Virtual online sessions have turned into new-era schools, colleges, and offices. Modern cities are adjusting to technology, but rural areas still face challenges.

The education sector is in crisis, especially in India. E-learning is the future of India. It will shape the way for advanced learning methods in edtech. With the internet spiking rate estimated to reach above 55 percent by the end of 2025, the digitalization of education remains one of the topmost priorities of the Indian government. Therefore, many efforts have been made to improve digital education access — the new standard post the pandemic.

The Humanity Welfare Council has initiated Project GREYBOOK to provide the basic amenities required for digital education. This project will be a great help to students in rural India, the disadvantaged and underprivileged people. The digital education imparted ensures that the classroom teachings are interactive and mindful. Digital literacy broadens the horizon of learning and transforms a child's life by strengthening motor skills, decision making, cultural awareness, global interaction, etc.

Digitalization is characterized by the use of social media, cloud, mobility, and analytics. With digitization, services and information can even reach the remotest of areas in India. HWC is working on bridging the gap between modern cities and villages.

Human beings must have food, water, air, and shelter to survive. If any one of these basic needs is not met, then humans cannot survive.

With online education, you can take your school with you wherever you go, and there are also a great many benefits that come with getting your education online like flexibility, lower cost, self-discipline, wide range of courses and comunications, etc.

Although online education is relatively new to many in India, many studies have been conducted to test the success rate of face-to-face instruction over self-disciplined online study material. In fact, a major review concluded that online students have more advantages of succeeding over traditional teaching methods. Of course, this depends on whether you’re able to work independently with self-discipline to finish your course.

All new learning innovations are met with some degree of scrutiny, but skepticism subsides as methods become more mainstream. Such is the case for online learning. Studies indicate employers who are familiar with online degrees tend to view them more favorably, and more employers are acquainted with them than ever before. The majority of colleges now offer online degrees. Online learning is also increasingly prevalent in the workplace as more companies invest in web-based employee training and development programs.

According to a report it has been saif that 62 percent of faculty agreed that students were more likely to cheat in an online class than an in-person class, but most students (95 percent) said cheating happened in both environments equally.

A digital learning environment is a student-centered framework where opportunities for learning and access to educational resources are available anytime, anywhere.

Advantages would be that it will help in increasing jobs in India and quality education will become cheaper. On the downside, there will be less social experience among students, and for digital education, students would need a good internet connection.
