There could have been a natural disaster, some humanitarian crisis, conflict, migration, or other man-made disasters that led to the disappearance of a family member or friend without knowing what has happened to them or in what state they are in. The person whose whereabouts and fate are not known are termed “missing”.

Start your search for a missing family member or friend with Us. We have developed different types of activities to locate the missing persons and multi-disciplinary action to address the needs of the families. We understand the pain of those friends and family members who go missing from our lives so suddenly. Every family has the right to know about the whereabouts of their family member.

What Do We Do?

The disappearance of a loved one envisages action at many levels - i.e. the families of the missing persons, the community, and the local and national authorities. Therefore, different measures are necessary: financial, legal, administrative, psychological and psychosocial support, etc.

Project MILAAN is an initiative by the Humanity Welfare Council to create a safer environment for humans to grow freely. We understand the pain of shattered, hopeless families wandering in search of their lost family members. We are here to track your missing family members and reunite families using advanced technology swiftly. We are setting up a tracking system for lost and vulnerable people. It will hold details and all other particulars of the lost people as well as their photographs.

It may be a child who lost his way home or was kidnapped, an adult with a mental issue, or someone molested and abducted. We offer helping hands for these families providing all the necessary help in reuniting with their family members establishing the largest platform for refugees and displaced populations.

What should you do if a person you know is missing?
  • Get a photo of the missing person.
  • Fill in a form with all details of that person.
  • Provide information about the place and time where and when last seen.
  • Send out an email to our address.
  • We will use the information and help to reunite your missing family member with you.
  • You can track down the search process through a mobile phone, a computer, or our free helpline.

  3. To create a unique database for all human beings.

Yes. This will keep the volunteers safe and also enable taking appropriate legal action against the suspect.

  1. Technology plays a very important role in Project MILAAN.
  2. The data and pictures collected from complainants/volunteers will be stored securely in our database.
  3. On getting a match, we will aim on reuniting the person with their loved ones.
  4. If match not found, we will continue maintaining our quest.

The police are duty bound to carry out the following task in case a person goes missing:

  4. Information to be given to Control Room (CR) & Missing Person Bureau (MPB)
  5. Information to be published in the Police Notice
